You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the ground. – Psalm 104:30
Yesterday, we gave thanks for the life that God gave us with God’s breath. Today, I am thankful for the breath of the Holy Spirit as we are continually guided and loved in our living. The Holy Spirit works to continue to feed, nurture, teach and guide us so we might find joy, love, peace and hope in our living. While breath gives us life, the life we might have will not be as full or rich unless we continue to breathe in the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Listen and respond. I remember playing basketball and we were playing in a very hot stadium that had lost its air conditioning. It was hard to breathe. Each team was given an oxygen tank so we could replenish as we needed. Each breath taken out of that tank was full and rich and fulfilling, much more than the breaths of the air around us. The Holy Spirit gives such rich and fulfilling breaths of life. While we can breathe and be alive, when we also breathe in the love of the Holy Spirit, we find it much richer and so it is with our lives.
Take a minute to breathe in and as the air fills your lungs, focus on how full you become and thank the Holy Spirit for the continued work in your life.
